Having been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2016, my grandfather sadly lost his battle with the disease in 2021. Through this series of work, I explore his physical and mental state during his various appointments and treatments for his cancer diagnosis.

Over the summer, I plan to expand on the current screen works introducing a text element – handwritten notes from his personal diary entries. These entries are day-to-day observations of plants and animals, seasons and weather patterns, alongside a more personal observation, of his physical, mental and emotional decline as he neared the end of his life.

50 % of all proceeds from this series of work will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK, with hopes of raising awareness and supporting the charity which continues to do amazing work.
